After two AWESOME semifinal series that both went the distance, we have our final matchup in the Italian men's playoffs - Lube Civitanova vs Trentino! Everett and Rob react to both the do-or-die matches from Tuesday and preview the finals, plus catch up with all the playoff action around Europe (and the NCAA!) on this week's 9x9.

Rob is back from his wedding and honeymoon, and there is a LOT to cover - but first, we join the Italian volleyball community in mourning the loss of Novara player Julia Ituma. Moving past that, we react to VakifBank's ridiculous comeback vs Fenerbahce to go back to the Champions League final, plus catching up on all the playoffs around Europe and beyond!

No, you didn't read that wrong - Perugia is DONE for the season after losing to Zaksa in the Champions League semi-final AND the Lega Volley quarterfinals to Milano! Rob is on his honeymoon in Curacao - but Everett is here to wrap up the Champions League semis and the Lega Volley quarters all the same!

The episode title says it all - is Perugia's franchise crumbling to the ground before our very eyes?? Everett and Rob take a look at Perugia's two recent losses, to Zaksa in Champions League and to Milano in the Italian Quarterfinals, and look ahead to the most important week in their franchise's history. It's playoff season, the most fun part of club volleyball! It was an INSANE week in the CEV, with three golden sets last week on the men's side and some bangers on the women's side as European volleyball pushes towards its climax for the year! Everett and Rob cover all the CEV matches and news, the first round of the men's Italian playoffs, and the rest of the European leagues that are pushing towards the playoffs, plus an early look at the pools for the Olympic Qualification Tournaments later this year. Out of NOWHERE, Piacenza has won the 2023 men's Coppa Italia, sweeping Trentino in the final and sweeping Perugia in the semifinal! Everett and Rob react to Perugia's first loss of the season and put the Scudetto hopes of all three teams in perspective, before catching up on Zaksa's Polish Cup win and Berlin's German Cup win.
